Sources and methodology
Trust the evidence, not a mysterious score.
TechDrift watches the publications and communities you choose, then promotes a topic only when the underlying evidence persists.
- 01
Sources stay attributable
Every signal retains its article links, publication context, and evidence. Source selection is user-controlled; a high-volume feed cannot make a topic trend alone.
- 02
Signals earn their place
Topics must repeat across distinct articles, persist across collection runs, cover comparable sources, and show meaningful lift against their own recent baseline.
- 03
Candidates remain visible
Emerging topics that have not yet cleared the bar are shown as candidates with their missed gateānot disguised as finished signals.
- 04
AI stays advisory
When assisted analysis appears, it is labelled with confidence and uncertainty. It does not silently rewrite deterministic scoring or source evidence.
